Danny MacAskill's Gymnasium

You can't but love Danny MacAskill's skills on a bike,
If you've seen other of his videos, I'm sure this tops them all.
Gotta love the Scottish accent of the guy who sings the accompanying tune.
(makes me think of Tripleshotter Scottish Karen)

Re: Solo rides

I second those remarks. The city is getting fricken paranoid and you sure see it on full display when riding a bike. Not only are walkers really bold in voicing their assessment of how close you are riding to your fellow buddy, as in "Hey You, Social Isolation" which some self-righteous walker shout...

A letter from F. Scott Fitzgerald, Quarantined

A LETTER FROM F. SCOTT FITZGERALD, QUARANTINED IN 1920 IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE DURING THE SPANISH INFLUENZA OUTBREAK. Dearest Rosemary, It was a limpid dreary day, hung as in a basket from a single dull star. I thank you for your letter. Outside, I perceive what may be a collection of fallen leaves...

Re: Alan Cassels' promotion (demotion?)

Oh, man, with that kind of power, not only would I be able to boss around Martin, John D, John T. and other assorted UVic types, I’d be able to declare Thursday mornings as “TRIPLESHOT Thursdays” and thus order students and other assorted Univiersity detritus to stay clear of the the circle from 6 t...

Re: Wednesday, March 11 - Antiviral FarmCross

If I''m not there, swing by my house and holler until the neighbours wake up. I am pretty sure one of them will call the cops because they detest cyclists.
By the time the squad cars arrive I should be dressed.
Thank you.

I hate you all
Sadly, I’m stuck in Vancouver whilst trying to save the world from health privateers.
On the plus side, my knobby tires seem to work well on the Central Valley Greenway

Re: Friday, February 28: Please read on ...

I'll go with whatever route is suggested. As for a poem, I went into my archives (this from 2014) back when I was on a Trek and Rolf on his Bianchi Eating and Biking. One fact is quite striking, about eating and biking. And evidence galore, too strong to ignore, of the strong correlations To one’s g...
