Re: Sunday, Nov. 17 - Early Explore of Mitchell Lake and Hazlitt Creek

Glad to see there's some self-censorship going on. Saves uncomfortable conversations about self-deportation.

Re: Community Event: Prospect Lake Road

The Saanich police seem to have published data that CHEK News is using to suggest that maybe speed isn't such a big issue. These data--seemingly from a Speed Reader Board at a single location on the road--show that people are driving well below the speed limit on average (ON THAT PRECISE SECTION OF ...

Cycling BC Community Awards

Hey all, As a Cycling BC member you should have received an email at around 7pm on Nov 5 from Cycling BC. It contains a link to the annual Cycling BC Community Awards. Re: Give to Shim

Just an added note that if you're not a Wheelers member, I think you can do a couple rides "for free" with them by signing a waiver at the start of the ride. So you wouldn't need to purchase membership to do just this ride.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Trevor.

Deer/Bike collisions

A note from Cole Glover at BikeMaps.org... Martin Hey folks! Have you been, or know someone that’s been involved in a deer-related cycling incident? Being a cyclist, I know how common and terrifying it can be to encounter a deer while riding, especially while on a dark and zippy group ride. I’ve had...

Hats off to Lister, youth team, parents, and other volunteers

Just wanted to say thanks to all those who worked so hard to weave together the enormous project that was the 2019 Tripleshot CrossFondo. A road race on a 40km loop over multiple jurisdictions is hard enough to put together. Try adding the tasks of knocking on doors to recruit 40+ private landowners...

Thanks Geoff. Just submitted some arguments in favour of more biking trails.

It's easy, y'all. Just follow Geoff's link.

Re: Tripleshot crap flaps for sale

The crap flaps are around back of Barton's house on the sofa.

When you order crap flaps (see link above), Barton's address in Vic West shows up.

Tripleshot crap flaps for sale

Hi All, Be prepared for the rainy season with the best-looking crap flaps in town: TSC Crap Flap.jpg We have a new shipment in. Sadly the state of the Loonie has made them significantly more expensive compared with our last order. They will be $23 each. To buy them, go to the Tripleshot e-store (tha...

Riding Etiquette on multi-use trails (Goose etc.)

The following was posted to our FB page last Wednesday, presumably before or after Cross Club at Juan de Fuca Rec: /quote "Hello, this afternoon one of your adult cycling teams was practicing bad trail etiquette on the [galloping] goose near the rail bridge over 6 mile. They took up the entire left ...

Re: Tripleshot T-shirt?

Wow, there was so much to love about that post. Where to start? *Almost* the best part was the offer to help get us some t-shirts. Yes, that would be awesome! I can get you some graphics files that should be useful. I'll dig those up and message you and then we can get on email to swap files/discuss...
