COTR Cumberland - looking for a ride

Hello Everyone, I'm trying to do as many of the Cross on the Rock races this Fall as possible, but am currently car-free. I am hoping that someone else is planning on driving to the first COTR race (Cumberland, on Sept 8), and has room for me and my bike. I am happy to pay the gas cost for the trip....

Re: Velodrome Open House Saturday, April 13 10am-3pm

Thanks for posting Shawn - you beat me to it! The Open House is a great way to try out riding at the track. (Or, to try out riding again!) We're not going to do a Tripleshot Track Day this year, so this is a great opportunity instead to see what track riding is all about. I hope to see a lot of you ...

Re: winter gym training

Lister, I'm sad you didn't get an amazing photo of me playing handball. (Using Photoshop to lie is okay.) When I was in goal I was impressed that my ability to be hit by a ( admittedly ridiculously) soft foam ball was to my advantage. Anyway - to those considering coming out on Thursday - it will be...

Wanted: 49-50cm frame, road or cross bike

Hi Tripleshotters,

I have a friend whose daughter needs a new (to her) bike. They are looking for a road or cross bike, 49 or 50 cm frame, ideally with the ability to attach a rack to it.

Please send me a message if you have anything for sale.

Thanks,
Amy

Penny, that looked like a yes to me, so I'm adding you to the list. Also, I'm in - might as well admit it now. (Penny - was Louise #1 harassing you too?) But, Penny, I think I've answered your call of "less faster folk." Also, Mikael, I seem to recall that we passed group #2, which made us the middl...

Re: Trail Project to connect Camosun to Francis King Park- Volunteers wanted

Trail building at 6:00 in the morning. I knew you people were crazy. It's probably best if I drive myself, so I can make it to work on time. Put me down for 6:00 am on June 27. At the moment, I only have work gloves and hiking boots - so I'll see what I can come up with in the way of tools. Amy

Re: Trail Project to connect Camosun to Francis King Park- Volunteers wanted

Hi Lister, I'm in and looking forward to it. Personally, I'd be interested in weekday evenings starting mid-July (I'm on holiday at the beginning of July, and don't know when I will be out of town). In general Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are best. Here's the best weekday evenings for me at the m...

Hi everyone. Small road bike for lend or sale?

Hi Tripleshotters!

I have a co-worker/friend who wants to join the women's clinic, who needs a road bike to ride. She is 5' tall, so it would be a pretty small bike (50cm or smaller). Please message me if you have a small bike collecting dust in your basement/garage.

Thanks,
Amy

Re: Is there a safer paceline configuration?

Yes - I was a part of the rotating paceline group at the Langley Fondo. It's wasn't as much a slow rotating paceline, as a double paceline, that rotated two places, every two minutes or so. So, there are still two riders on the front, who ride together, chat, and decide when to rotate off the front....

Re: Interested in Women's Masters Racing?

I'm definitely interested - although I'm really hoping there will be a big group of us. (Ideally, some in my age category, and around my speed!) I'd encourage anyone even slightly interested in racing to give it a try. If there's enough interested, we could possibly do some race training together an...
