Stranded motorist assisted by A group

For those that missed out on the spectacle at Beacon Hill Park this morning: Our small A group came across a stalled vehicle on the "hill" near mile zero this morning, and we stopped to help push it up around the corner so it wasn't impeding traffic. Kudos to the group for assisting a fellow road us...

Re: Big Loop Ride July 28

I have done the BLR a couple of times, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have a couple of comments and suggestions to pass along, and as John has wisely offered, I agree that it might be best to have a game plan before we all end up in the parking lot like sheep waiting for instructions ( lik...

Re: Sorry!

Hi Stephane,

No need to apologize! I think one of our group hollered "passing!" and you quickly moved to the right without hampering our progress. I suspect a number of us were pleased to think we could pass you!! ;) Andrew

Re: Volunteers for Robert Cameron Law Time Trial - June 7th

To all the Tripleshot volunteers, Thank you!! That was a LONG afternoon and evening on a windy, cold Friday that you spent making us all safe and feel supported. A number of riders commented on the great volunteers, and to hear the cheering made the pain a little bit easier to bear! Kudos to all who...

Re: Masters_TTT_Results

Judging by the smiles and the report, you must have had a LOT of fun! I know how fast and friendly the four of you are, so even if you hadn't posted the fastest team time, you would have won the spirit/sportsmanship award. Congratulations!! Andrew

Re: Saturday Sufferfest

Note to Rob: Unless I'm mistaken, Steve, Andy, and Damian ( welcome! ) are intending to do the Tripleshot Sufferfest, which is basically the OBB ride starting at 6:00. So there are no hills to speak of ..... unless you count Panorama! ;)

Re: Saturday Sufferfest

Sorry to disappoint Steve, but rather than another Metchosin Hillfest, I have decided to join the OBB ride tomorrow morning at 9. I have a bunch of work tonight so a 6am Sufferfest isn't too appealing, and Sunday looks rainy so I'm going to go into lemming mode and join the masses to Lands End and b...

Re: Metchosin Hillfest #3 SATURDAY

Definitely a regrouping type of ride Steve ..... bring your pneumonia out and we'll get rid of it! As for distance, I think we have done 80km and 100 km ...... and kept the riding time around 3 hours. But this is a flexible ride; we can adjust the route and departure time if necessary. The goal is t...

Metchosin Hillfest #3 SATURDAY

Is anybody interested in a SATURDAY trip out to Metchosin? Thinking of Munn/Bear Mountain/Happy Valley and a few laps of the Nationals course followed by the Lagoon .... maybe even fit in Triangle Mountain? Departing from the Switch Bridge at 7:30, but as usual, the route and departure time are open...

Re: TTT - Safety protocol?

I'll chime in on this one, because it does seem to happen once or twice a year. And my intuition tells me my opinion will match yours on this one Louise! I think the fastest group approaching from behind should yield and reduce speed as required. It also doesn't seem fair for the middle group to hav...

Re: Bike travel bags

Hi Craig, I want to second Geoff's recommendation. I borrowed Nick Friesen's Bikend bag ( not sure what model ) for our trip to Italy and it was amazing. It's just really well designed and built, and I wouldn't consider anything else should I be in the market. The ability to pack 2 sets of wheels is...

Thank You Tripleshot!

Hello fellow TSers, I want to send out a big thank you to the executive and TS family for producing a unique National TS kit for Heather and I. Although the Simonson family has been on the bicycle scene for years, and I still consider myself new to Tripleshot, I think it can be said that we both owe...

Re: Metchosin Hillfest #2

Thanks to all those intending to come out ..... the more the merrier ...... we'll be merry!! As for "'early repeats on Neild Road". That sounds SO interesting Stephane, and since that is the motto of this ride, don't be surprised if we swing by and head up Neild looking for you ( 8:30ish? ) I'll try...

Metchosin Hillfest #2

Sending out an invitation to join in on another hilly(ish) Sunday ride out to Metchosin. A 7:30 start from the switch bridge and a similar route to last weekend with perhaps a Nationals race course added in ..... we can skip Joe's mountain to make that a bit more realistic! Unlike Barton, I can't pr...
