Re: Sunday Otter Point - The non-sufferfest version

Hi Roxanne, I think with all of the climbs, the overall pace will probably be about that, although I'm aiming to work harder on the flats - probably a B ish pace. I plotted the route on strava and it estimated 5 hrs 10 mins moving time for a 25 kph pace so since I need to be home by noon, I am think...

Sunday Otter Point - The non-sufferfest version

I'm looking to do a longer ride tmrw and have been thinking of riding out to Otter Point doing a similar route to today's sufferfest ride. If anyone feels like something a little longer, a little different, for their Sunday ride, I'd love the company. I will be going early b/c of afternoon time cons...

Re: Olympic Adventure Trail: Ride Report

Ron, I agree with JT. You left out some of the spices. No mention of handcuffs or Farhang's banana? Seriously, it was an awesome, epic and highly recommended ride. Kudos to Ron for initiating and planning it. He's glad I went along or his R.O.L.F. would still be in that biker bar. My suggestions for...

Re: Sunday, June 30th CX Day Ride on Olympic Adventure Trail

I don't see anyone else's marital dirty laundry being aired on the TS forum  (That little face is the best I can do in the Gif department. My talents like elsewhere). I will see you guys at the Coho on Sun morning. With bells on. Or rather with bear spray and a lot of food. And a lot of tubes....

Hi Ron,

I'm a strong maybe and may be bringing two others. I'll confirm this weekend post-consultation.

This looks awesome. What is your plan for the ride back. The trail is an out and back but your plotted route is a loop.

Re: Sunday, June 9 - Testament, Partridge Hills and some speed trails

I'll meet you guys at the end of Lochside where it meets up with Royal Oak (Lochside school) at 7. Its actually nearly a km shorter for me than the Bleinkinsop/Mt. Doug meeting spot and if you guys aren't there yet, I can just ride Lochside south until I meet you.

Re: Sunday, June 9 - Testament, Partridge Hills and some speed trails

Yes, I just saw that! What time do you think you'll be there? I think my plan will be to go up regional trail when you guys head up ross durrance. I'll take Old Payoff - Torpedo - Centerfold - back to regional trail - the new Skull and then Executive down and out back to the rail trail and head QB t...

Re: Sunday, June 9 - Testament, Partridge Hills and some speed trails

So I was kinda thinking I'd join for a portion of this (have to be home early to get back to heavy labour kitchen reno prep) but not sure about lots of hike and bike. I haven't ridden Testament so I'm keen to do it, although I remember Rolf saying that one direction was sweet, the other not so much....

Re: Sunday, June 30 MAGA Cross Ride

Hi Ron, I like the idea, like the date (June 30) and am still owed a day on the bike. But I might have to be a commit the week before kind of person (sorry, annoying I know...). That is just the state of life right now. My MIL is in town over July 7 so not likely that I can leave for the day. I'll f...

Re: Wednesday, May 15 - FarmCross

Thanks for the intel. Given my tight timeline I'll need to maximize trail time and hit some trails a bit closer to home - like Haro and Ten Mile. Have fun!

Where are ya going? I am going to be out test riding my 15 year old mt bike to make sure it is shifting well enough to earn itself a trip to Hornby. I have very limited time but will join you guys if the locale/timing works.

Re: Mothers Day Cross Ride- Fun in the Forest!

The route looks great Ron! I love those bear mountain trails. I think this ride will be pretty technical so might impact get back to town time, just fyi for people who might have tight timelines. I'm a bit non-committal at the moment since I haven't fully consulted on my Mother's day options but I'l...

TTT - Safety protocol?

What a beautiful morning for the TTT today. I love this ride and wish I could get there more often. Today we had a situation (that was safely handled and didn't become a real issue at all) but I personally would like to know what to do in future similar situations. The group I was in was beginning t...
