Re: Sunday, April 21st Cross Ride - EASTER BRUNCH EDITION

Happy Easter, dudes! Hope you have a great ride. I'm really keen to explore South Prospect Lake Park someday. But what's all this about invoking my name on losing your way? As constrained as we are by responsibilities and our predictable, hyper-structured lives at middle age, half the fun is getting...

Re: Great Trail Ride: Dear Rolf ...

Dear JT: power corrupts and hierarchies are ethically unjustified. I envisioned this year's Great Trail Ride to be the manifestation of Tripleshot as anarcho-syndicalist commune. I renounced any and all responsibility for this year's ride after polling and identifying the democratically-established ...

Re: Sunday, April 14th Cross Ride

I never set out to ride off solo today, but there's something about not going cold turkey. https://photos.smugmug.com/Public-Photos/i-PcnsTpb/0/fed8b18e/S/Centennial-S.jpg Staying ahead of the group gave me a nice, panicky hunted feeling which kept the motivation to pedal high. But more importantly,...

Stop playing hard to get, JT. Sometimes you're such a tease. https://media.giphy.com/media/TGKnLbfAzkk3DDNt8K/giphy.gif The Everti is now a stripped down road bike, shiny and fenderless. So I'll probably be doing a little FarmCross in the rain on one of the kid's bikes. https://media.giphy.com/media...

ATTENTION - Great Trail Adventure May 4, 2019 - ATTENTION

https://media.giphy.com/media/2ytlNeRGtmPJXaFbZT/giphy.gif HEY TRIPLESHOT ROADIES! Your weird crosser Clubbies are planning to hit the Great Trail in just over three weeks and you're invited—if you: have a little thicker rubber available, and are capable of prioritizing having a good time over havi...

Saturday, May 4 - Great Trail Adventure 2019!

Mark your calendar and start prepping your apology for getting home on May 4th at 4 p.m. and heading straight to the couch after one of the best Morning Rides you'll do all year. I'm already tired and shagged out after all the effort it took to pick a day, so I'm going to mostly cut and paste the sc...

Great Trail Adventure 2019 - Voting Closes tonight (Apr. 8)

IF you: ignore the puerile nonsense on the CX sub-forum and THUS haven't seen the poll for picking a day for this year's Great Trail Adventure, BUT are still interested in putting at least 28mm rubber on your bike and joining us for a day of excellent trails, apexes and camaraderie (not to mention p...

Re: 2nd Annual Tripleshot Great Trail Adventure - VOTE!

Voting closes tonight. Looks like a race between Saturday and Sunday, May 4/5, with Saturday so far taking it at the line. But we've only had about 8 riders submit votes. So things could change.

Hot tip: you can change your votes any time until midnight tonight.

Re: April 7th - Big Ride to Harbour View

Loving the drive, Ron! I sincerely hope the weather's good for you guys, as it will be a long time on the bike. Because I have to be home by 11, I'm leaving Fort and Foul Bay at 7 to do this old chestnut (Colquitz, Willis, Mt. Work, Thetis) , probably minus Partridge Hills. I kinda hope I'm solo, cu...

Re: Friday April 5, Lifting the veil on mystic

Sounds good, JT. I don’t think it will rain; but if it does, that’s A-OK. I had previously come up with the following suggestion for tomorrow : take a B-train up Shelbourne and half of Blenki, then jump onto Lochside at Lohbrunner, up through the Royal Oak park system (Donwood, Lohbrunner, Rithetwoo...

Winter Bib Tights For Sale (Cheap! Barely used!)

Enjoy luxurious, dry warmth from perineum to pelvis to peronæus while flying the Club colours on both terrible weather and mild Spring/Fall days alike. I've worn these less than five times and they are mint: never crashed, torn, or dragged speeding along concrete or gravel. Chamois has been thrice l...

Re: Big Ride to Harbour View

This will be my fourth, guys. I know well of what you speak. But the other coach is away and there’s no one else available to lead the little line of sweet, innocent, smiling cherubic faces out onto the field so they can natter away to each other behind me about the utterly inane, and blithely ignor...

Re: Big Ride to Harbour View

To be clear, nobody should pay any further attention to my whinges on availability. Plan the ride and I’ll join if I can. 8) As for *choosing* ball over bike, Louise, I call it the Coach’s Curse. But with a bit of luck I still have decades to come when I can ride like some of you old farts—when your...
