Re: Gravel biking’s early origins.

I think there is some logic to the statement that Gravel Riding is just 80s/90s Mountain Biking. But that's a not a bad thing. Mountain biking tech and terrain have evolved so much over the past few decades that most riders drive out to a dedicated terrain park and leave all the "lesser" trails alon...

In the spirit of self-isolation, this ride is now cancelled. Sniff.

Re: March 15 Gravel ride

Fair enough Dolly. The wind is meant to be less rediculous by the time we are rolling but should make steady improvements throughout the day. Maybe later afternoon is in your cards...

All great suggestions Claire. I won't plot them on the route, we can just decide as we go.

Re: March 15 Gravel ride

Here's a little route that takes trails we know but against the normal flow. With a mech or two we'll still complete the ride in time for coffee. Destination shows Pluto's but anything okay.

March 15 Gravel ride

I'm aching for a dirt ride. 7:30 from Cookbucks. I don't have a route in mind, and open to suggestions. Weather looks a bit warmer than today and dry, although windy.

Sunday, March 22 - sheilds lake coffee - CANCELLED (again)

As you know, the weather was so cold and crappy today we scrapped the Terranova ride . Well, most of us did. A few brave souls went out and said the route was so good they want to do it again. So, I propose we head out with our coffee supplies next Sunday. I hope those that were keen for this ride c...
