Re: WANTED: Front suspension fork for gravel bike

Egad! I don't know if I want to sully my bike with that.

But yes, there are a number of issues to get a suspension fork that fits. My wheels are set up 12mm thru axle but can be converted to 15mm. Hopefully an older fork is compatible with 100mm...

WANTED: Front suspension fork for gravel bike

I'd like to experiment riding with a front suspension fork on my gravel bike. Does anyone have an older MTB fork lying around that might be suitable for this frankenbike project? Ideally short travel and can accomodate a 29" wheel (27.5" might be okay). 1-1/8 to 1.5 Inch Tapered. I'm having problems...

Re: Gravel ride "with friends" (but actually solo)

I like exploring maps and heading out with my Garmin (miss guided hilarity included). Garmin worked really well for me Friday and helped me recognize early when I went off course.

Re: Solo rides

I hear you Claire and Ben. Message received. I've been doing a smattering of solo and accompanied rides and both have problems entering another person's respiratory stream. The advantage of an accompanied ride is you can work out the logistics in advance and then you have trail safety from a buddy, ...

Re: Dream Ride

Dang, I missed Wonger's ride too. My brief stint of single parenting followed by covid-19 has been a bit of a bummer for group rides. Looks like you and Johnny had a nice ride though. I've gotta convince the gnar bros to get coffee and food more often. Even more important when intentionally keeping ...

Dream Ride

It seems like so long ago that we could easily post rides and look forward to a care-free, fun Sunday morning in the saddle. Ah, those were the days: before-times.jpg But it's gotta get back to normal! And to this end I like to have something to look forward to. This got me thinking, what is your id...

Re: Gravel biking’s early origins.

I think there is some logic to the statement that Gravel Riding is just 80s/90s Mountain Biking. But that's a not a bad thing. Mountain biking tech and terrain have evolved so much over the past few decades that most riders drive out to a dedicated terrain park and leave all the "lesser" trails alon...

In the spirit of self-isolation, this ride is now cancelled. Sniff.
