Re: Roof rack to borrow

Greg; ours fits square/round bars, but there's likely a conversion kit for aero bars. It will work for your bike. It's in-play August 28-Sept3. Available after if needed. Text/call 604-720-7955 if needed. ~Mark

Volunteer call for Jordie Lunn jump/CX-park - July 27-28

As many of you have heard Cross Club and Wheelhouse Cycling Society are involved in the construction of a bike park in Langford. The Jordie Lunn Bike Park is going to be a massive boost for cycling in our region, with dirt jumps, a massive paved pump track and over 3km of cyclocross trails for train...

China Beach / Tansky ORV trails

Hiya; I'm bring bike out to China Beach this weekend. Does anyone have advice on trails in the area or at the Tansky rec site? It's described as both mountain bike and ATV and I'm trying to figure out if its forest trail or motorhead-armageddon.
Thanks!

Re: WTB (borrow/buy): Back-country backpacks

That's awesome Rob! I'll text if I don't see you on Greg's ride am. No pressure if your daughter isn't game. It's a big ask if it's still in play. Easier if it's outgrown and just collecting dust.

Re: WTB (borrow/buy): Back-country backpacks

Sounds awesomely retro Martin. Thank you! Mine (similar era) basically dissolved a few years ago. I haven't had a need to replace it until now... I'll PM my phone number. Please let me know when you have had a chance to dig it out!

WTB (borrow/buy): Back-country backpacks

Testing the waters for a couple of nights on the Juan de Fuca trail with the kiddo in July! Looking for two used backpacks. One adult tall 55-75L. One suitable for 8-10 year old (~30L small). Sell/Rent/Lend. Thanks for reading! Mark

Wanted: Family home to rent

My colleague is moving to Victoria from Brazil in June with his family. He's looking for a rental home that is close (reasonable walking distance) from an elementary school. 3 bedrooms and a yard are on his wish list. If you or anyone you know is looking for a responsible, professional family tenant...

Please tell me it's the killer bacon that blew Dolly and Alan's minds and not a previously unreported symptom of one-nine-CX-variant.

Definitely need a herd of angry protesters blocking and grabbing riders and hollering in French at Cross on the Rocks next year! That blew my mind. Great drone footage too!

Re: Dream Ride

No offense Ron, but your "dream" ride sounds like a regular old Sunday in the saddle. Here's mine: I wake up super early and it's soooo dark I can't see anything. I turn on the lights and nothing happens. Must be a black-out from the tornado last night. It's hard to get dressed in the dark and I can...

when is a ride a "group ride"?

Things are changing really fast on the Covid front. Sad (but not bad) to see Tripleshot aligning with the majority of organizers in suspending activities with the word "group" in them. Things are serious; people who know actual stuff keep telling me that and I believe them. These are not normal time...

Re: March 22 - Snoozfest

Thank you Ron, for the inspiring ideas! Since I wasn't able to join Sunday's ride last week, it'll make good inspiration for this week. I can see an argument for skipping coffee (and might supply that argument), but I'm not seeing a plague risk to tearing around on a bicycle in the woods. Seems much...

I'm committed to build our hotly-anticipated bike storage facility (garden shed) this weekend and can't do an epic. I'm up for a normal ride...

are there any normal people here?
