Sunday_ride_velodrome?

Hi,

Provincial Track Champions this weekend at the velodrome. Just an idea - we could reroute the Sunday ride in order to watch a race or two.

Re: Cycling laws

I agree with the Court of Appeals on this one. When I pass on the right I do not assume I am in a legal lane.

Frame warranty

Hi everyone, This message should not be interpreted as a criticism of Ridley. I am disappointed but that's all. My Damocles frame has been a 'workhorse' to quote Geoff W. Yesterday Richie from Velofix put it on a stand as the first step in building a new 11-spd/Bontrager Aeolus speed machine (yes - ...

Tour de France

Can anyone share a good site for live streaming of The Tour? In the past steephill.tv seemed to be the place to go, but now most links are country-limited (except the 3-min highlights). The official tour site seems to have a link - anyone registered for live streaming there without trouble?

VCL/BroadStreetCycles_Omnium

Racing news from BroadStreetCycles Broad Street Cycles VCL Omnium! Or should we say ... KOMnium? We've had some weird weather lately, with words like 'rain' and 'Juneuary' being thrown around, so it's time to heat things up with MORE RACING! So, in conjunction with VCL, we're hosting an Omnium. Thi...

VCL site says 6:30 pm, so that's what it will have to be - I don't want to miss anyone.

Re: Speedway VCL races

Hi everyone, The last TS Speedway Race is this evening. Last chance to race at the speedway and last chance to help out! If possible, I'd like to leave early (to attend the Oak Bay High graduation). It would be great to have someone there that can shut everything down. It's not hard, I can train you...

Re: Adam de Vos wins opening time trial at Joe Martin

I've been curious, but up until now, not curious when I was sitting at a keyboard.

Turns out Adam was second overall in that stage race:

Re: Tuesday corner of Cedar Hill X Rd and Codboro Bay Rd

I think the water was a factor today. I have written to Oak Bay to complain about the sprinklers - they were still on, and poorly aimed, at 10 am. Another thing (that might not sit well with all of you). CAR! isn't always the best way to warn people, at least in many situations. I think this was one...

Re: Speedway VCL races

You are in luck Eric... there's another Speedway race in 3 weeks (June 7th). Hold on to that Sardinia fitness. Last night went well - thanks for the help and to everyone for coming out to race. The A and the B race had break aways that lapped the field. In both cases we had a bell for the field and ...

I hope it went well. I was en route when I heard that the #1 was closed (alternating lanes) at MacKenzie.

Upload images for those of us who missed it!

Cheers,

Speedway Race #2 tomorrow - Those you offered to help, please don't forget. Times will be the same as last week. Racing starting at 6 pm. With the clouds last week, we were close to darkness by the end of the A race. It went very well last week - thanks again to those who helped. More of the same, a...

Re: Speedway VCL races

Great videos guys. I was about to post an image from my on-the-line GoPro, but it would be a waste of time now. It's terrible by comparison. We'll certainly need someone with an iPhone/SloMo app next week! Great racing everyone! And thanks for all of the help. We'll improve the podium presentations ...
