Re: Tripleshot Cross Fondo was Fantastic

What an amazing organizational feat. Thanks to all who made it happen!! Now to say emphatically that which has not been said - OMG - WAS THAT EVER CHALLENGING!! It was so nice to have all the tripleshot youth, parents and other volunteers along the way giving positive encouragement. I was ready for ...

Looks like fun but where are the women? I know there are a lot of strong women riders, are they there but just didn't pass the camera?

Great video! Inspirational - I want to do that ride - minus the ride up the Observatory and peeing standing up (I'm just saying).

Re: Looking for lower end bike for month to rent

Thanks Martin

It looks like my partner won't be needing his mountain bike, so will lend the guy his. She doesn't want to borrow one of my bikes, feels they are too nice (if she only saw the other bikes that people in tripleshot ride!) so renting one might be the option for her.

Looking for lower end bike for month to rent

We have a very nice young couple from France living at our house for the month of August. They would like to rent lower end bikes for a month. She is 5 foot 8 and he is 6 foot 2. If you have an old bike or 2 you'd like to rent to them for the month, let me know. 250 589 5429. Thanks Paula (the wise ...

borrow or buy - bike roof rack

We learned last year that bikes on the back of the vehicle and the Dempster Highway do not mix, especially when the only place to buy parts or get a bike fixed seems to be down in Whitehorse. We are headed back to the Yukon again in August and are looking to borrow/buy or trade for August a roof bik...

Norm's Marinoni

My partner thought it was time to take up road riding, so he bought Norm's Marinoni. He then saw the clip at the xmas party of the TS Cycle X Grand Fondo, and decided that CycleX is what he really wants to do. So he bought Eric S's son's xbike and is now looking for a new home for Norm's Marinoni Sp...

Stuff left at the Xmas party

Sorry for the delay in getting this out. The Xmas party worked like clockwork thanks to the many hands. There were a few items left at the party (asides from Alan's backpack - last year it was his phone). If you left a green made in Italy de Silva dish, or a square trivet that has a fork, knife and ...

Wanted Big Frame (58 +) cx bike

Anyone looking to upgrade? I'm looking for a cx bike for my partner. I suspect he would need a 58 inch frame.
Thanks

First aid course for tripleshot riders

A first aid course with Alert First Aid has been organized for coaches of the women's clinic and tripleshot riders who are interested. Since the course is for us, the first aid scenarios and what we focus on will be more related to what we may need to attend to on a ride or while teaching a course. ...

Now that is the way to ride in wet dark conditions!

Thanks all for the ride today - it was a great safe ride. John D was right, we can ride safely in wet dark conditions! We had two groups this morning, the As and then the rest of us. I was super impressed with how smart we rode. We gave each other space, which was a super good thing since we actuall...
