Re: Sunday, June 30 MAGA Cross Ride

Ron, I'm totally into an adventure down on the Olympic Peninsula, but it'll have to be a different date as that's a camping weekend...
I know what you're thinking....

Mashy, I will come and keep you company seeing as everyone who normally rides cross in this group has used up all the potentially lame excuses.... I don't care where we go, as long as it involves excitement, getting dirty, and eventually coffee. https://media.giphy.com/media/ys8zByv0Muaxa/giphy.gif

Re: 40K Individual Time Trial or TTT - June 2nd.

We won!
It was a tough race, lots of hills, mercilessly dropping the slowest rider (me) as we approached the finish.
Well worthwhile.

You're a cruel school marm, Professor Johnny Tyre... Cut the dude some slack. Sheesh...

Re: 40K Individual Time Trial or TTT - June 2nd.

I am interested. Let's try to have a practice this coming Thursday with our team.
Do we have a team name? I like to think of musical names, Maybe "Joe's Garage", that classic by Frank Zappa.

Re: 3 FERRIES RIDE MAY 26

I'll meet you guys in Ganges, but I'll be coming from the north, from Foetus Island via Chemainus, Crofton and Vesuvius. So for me, It'll be a four ferries ride, one more ferry than you three ferry dudes. Unless some of you want to ride early, and meet me in Chemainus, then we can backtrack together...

Data geeks, look out.

An interesting article on the potential for problems in the pursuit of health. The article conforms to the aphorism, "those who think they're healthy, haven't had enough tests..." https://quillette.com/2019/05/17/a-contrarian-view-of-digital-health/ Full disclosure: I wrote a book about medical scre...

Re: A question for the doctors: how many Tylenol can I take?

I am not a doctor, though I think George Clooney played one on TV, nor would I ever give prescribing advice but you should know that, like any drug there is a dose-response related to ibuprofen that can influence its toxicity. Health Canada and numerous other drug regulators around the world have is...

Today's B1 ride

Too many Alans on today's ride. Reminding me of Michael Leunig's famous Alan cartoon.
I'm particularly fond of the Blessing of the Alans by the Archbishop.

This has nothing to do with recovering these hidden paths but is the kind of thing I would do to Johnny Fyfe if we worked together.
