Re: Tripleshot T-shirt?

While I'm a big fan of "The most important person..." I prefer it as a phrase not written down. It's perfect as word-of-mouth unofficial motto, but perhaps a bit pious once written down. Apparently our t-shirts used to read, "Catch the early bus!" or something like that. Complete with a VW bus. Hmm....

Awesome!

Grab a cup of coffee and watch this, enjoy the year just passing, and think about the year to come.

Saturday Peninsula?

Wondering if anyone's interested in a fairly laid back (B1-B2 pace) full-Peninsula ride at 6am tomorrow (Saturday). Weather dependent. Not in the mood to ride wet for 3+ hours.

Cook Street Starbucks at 6am.

If no one responds, I likely won't go.

Saturday Russ Hay's Kids Bikes for Christmas bike wash

If you want to get in the Christmas spirit even before the Tripleshot party on Saturday, consider dropping by Russ Hays (Victoria shop) for awhile between 10am and 2pm this Saturday to help them wash bikes for their Kids Bikes for Christmas program. They're taking donated used bikes and spiffing the...

Silly Solstice Ride

Just a note that the annual Silly Solstice Ride--Winter Edition (100km worth of laps of Beacon Hill Park) is scheduled for December 24, with a 5:30am meetup for coffee at Cook Street Starbucks and a 6am-sharp commencement of laps near the petting zoo. For all the astronomical pedants, the reason we'...

Oops. I forgot to let Barton know it was up. He had a multi-year streak going as 1st registrant.

He's going to have my hide for this.

Mary has posted the info above on how to buy a ticket to the Xmas party. Another way to get your hands on one of these hot tickets is to make a donation to one of our fine Tripleshot Youth Alumni currently riding for Canada’s National Team. These include: Erin Attwell (Silver medalist, 2019 PanAm Ga...

Glad to see there's some self-censorship going on. Saves uncomfortable conversations about self-deportation.

Christmas Party Awards Nominations

DO NOT POST YOUR NOMINATIONS IN THIS THREAD! We are now accepting nominations for the 2019 Tripleshot Awards, which will be handed out at the Xmas Party on Saturday December 7th. The coaching staff determine the 4 youth awards (Performance OTY, m/f; Youth RIder OTY, m/f), so we don't need nomination...

Re: Community Event: Prospect Lake Road

The Saanich police seem to have published data that CHEK News is using to suggest that maybe speed isn't such a big issue. These data--seemingly from a Speed Reader Board at a single location on the road--show that people are driving well below the speed limit on average (ON THAT PRECISE SECTION OF ...
