Re: Sunday, March 10 - BIG ride

I'm just a lurker this time--definitely don't have time for a long ride Sunday--but I was curious about the Terra Nova trail so I googled it: https://www.trailforks.com/trails/terra-nova-16816/ I've used TrailForks on my phone but didn't think to look for a website version. Wow, there's lots of info...

Re: Bike Tours ? Europe etc.

Hi Gerry,

Shelagh and her husband did a guided cycling trip in Portugal last year and really enjoyed it. She did a good write up of it in an article in The Rivet, probably from last fall.

Does anyone have any intel on what the trails are like now? Is it going to be super slushy-slippery-slidey-crashy?

Re: Loaner road bike?

Yay Justine and Louise!

JT, if she wants to use clipless pedals, I have an embarrassing number of pairs of old road shoes that she could use. If you find Look pedals, she can just use them as-is; otherwise you can swap in some other cleats. The shoes are about size Women's 9.

Re: Loaner road bike?

Yay! If you don't get a better offer, she could probably use my '99 Lemond Zurich, but we'll need to find pedals and a saddle. Also, the dates aren't 100% finalized but it looks like the TS Women's Clinic will be 8 Tuesday nights, beginning on Tuesday, April 9th and ending on Tuesday, May 28th. The ...

I’m not going to make it out early. We’re in need of sleep, so we’re heading out later. Maybe see you in BHP.

I am a maybe and yes, I'm thinking of bringing my MTB. Can I assume that for this week (due to snow) you are dropping the "Friday's ride will be fast" plan? :)

Yep, that's exactly what it was like this morning, Louise! It was fun, although we only rode for about an hour because some people had frozen hands and we didn't want anyone to lose their fingers. :D

BHP adventure Tuesday?

Is anyone thinking of riding cross tomorrow? I'm not keen on being on the road much, so I'm thinking of riding very carefully to Beacon Hill Park and then exploring all around the park, trying to cover as much of it as possible, and then going to Cook St. Moka House for coffee. I can meet at 6 at th...
