I recommend having this song stuck in your head for the ride:

https://youtu.be/PJv8sY2CxZA
Just don’t fetter the experience by recalling how James improved an already stonking chewn a hundred-fold in Seattle, 1989, by changing the lyric to “DI*KR*SH!!”

I can’t un-hear it.

I love early 80s thrash metal, Ron. Here's your route as a GIF:

I’ve opted for a nice, chunky coronavirus-wannabe instead of tip-toeing through the mud.

Enjoy!

Let us know how your wrist/hand/fingers are doing, L3. REALLY hope it doesn’t keep you off the bike for any significant period.

A few root-falls this morning. It was super greasy out there, and the 3° cold didn’t help with dexterity.

Wednesday, Feb. 5 - FarmCross in the Woods

Usual run up and back down the Shelbourne corridor. While maximizing our time in the forest, we will discourage jumping... https://media.giphy.com/media/PKJkm6Gv8Gb04/giphy.gif ...flipping off... https://media.giphy.com/media/EzLZFXOYV3J5u/giphy.gif ...and climbing... https://media.giphy.com/media/Y...

Re: Winter Bike Stolen

Really sorry to hear this, Dylan. Be sure to join The Stolen Bicycle Avengers Group on FB and post about your bike and its loss. I found my daughter's bike on that group page after it had a three-week adventure away from home; I even got to watch video of the police interception... Also: I inserted ...

Re: Victoria's "Pedaling Picasso" on CHEK Sports!

Love the game-face. And the attitude! 8) Does Cycleangelo * know about this local pretender who’s horning in on the whole cyclist-as-famous-artist thing? I wouldn’t be surprised if Cycleangelo went all Renaissance Man on young Pedaling Picasso Pickrell’s posterior. *b.t.w. Why has Mr. GPS Doodles be...

Re: Repeating GIFs

Hi Mike. It's unfortunate the GIFs are causing you discomfort. Johnny Tyre's latest made my stomach turn, too. But sometimes when true masters like Mikael or Greg use the medium, it's worth putting up with crude and hamfisted efforts from the rest of us. Turning off GIFs is easy! First, open your Us...

Re: Friday, January 24 - Early Weekday Zip to Viaduct, Francis King & Trillium

JT: I feigned nothing—Viaduct is a grind! Also: the downside of my compulsion to drift to the front of every damn ride I join, is not getting elbow-time with everyone—especially funny, friendly people like you. So I came back for the craic, as much as cuz I'd cracked. I found this morning qui...

Friday, January 24 - Early Weekday Zip to Viaduct, Francis King & Trillium

0600 (not 0607!) departure from Hillside and Shelbourne (ENSO station on the northeast corner). Pace and route very similar to this ride from last March —though probably swapping Viaduct in place of Calvert, and Trillium instead of staying on Highland. If coming from Gordon Head and wishing to meet ...

Re: May 2 - Ride for Water - Chilliwack

Enjoy staining your sheets, Johnny! While y'all are booking up your calendars, keep in mind the Club's Great Trail ride which—after some semi-tortuous member polling—ran May 4, 20 19 and May 19, 20 18 . Chances are good it'll come together for May again this year. And then there's the Olympic Disco ...

Trying to mix it up, L3. (And be occasionally good to our Vic West/Esquimalt riders like Megan and Nic.)

I’m sure Gordon Head will get its due again soon enough. Like when you post a ride on Friday? :D
