Re: Cross in the mud - Slugget Farm

Have you ever bought a jar of natural peanut butter? You know, the kind that separates as it sits on the shelf? When you open the jar you have to stir it up so that the oil mixes with the butter and makes it kinda smooth and edible. Keep the image of that texture in your mind, and whenever it says “...

Re: Victoria Cyclocross Double Header: Nov 7/8

I'm going to do this. Saturday anyway. A couple of questions...

I'm an avid mountain biker and not quite a triple shot "A" - still the intermediate race?

What is a license and how do you get one?

Where is slugget farm?

Anyone have a triple shot jersey I can borrow for the race?

Re: Ditch Dude Dave

Lister here on Geoff's account. Dave, hope you're feeling better. (We're in Penticton mtbing, doing epic 4 hour rides , of which 3 hours are climbing. I think I have sympathetic broken ribs Dave from breathing too hard.) Where did the fall happen? We were trying to place that ditch in the photo, but...

What is required for "membership"? I wasn't aware that there was a member ship fee - can you clarify?

Re: Wanted - 650 c wheels

Had a look at tribc - one possibility there. I have a kinda weird thing with my romax frame - I use it as my commuter but I can't get anything besides a road tire on it b/c the clearances are so tight. I'm thinking that 650 c will give me the room to run more rubber and a cheap way to try out cross.

I can't make either v2n or n2v, but my light can. If anyone needs to borrow a light mine is super bright and available. Just subscribe to my "you break it you buy it" policy and you're away. Safety first.
