Re: B ride for Fridays

I agree with Josh. I think the best thing that could come from this is a renewed awareness of group etiquitte and dynamics. For me, the group is the main attraction having been on many b rides that consist of four or six people.

Tuesday New Recruit

My friend Hugh bought a road bike and is planning to join you tomorrow morning (Tuesday). I am down with a cold so can't be there, but if there are takers for a b ride that might be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: And now for something completely different...

I should clarify - I'm pretty sure there was no one behind me when I got to the top of Ash. I'm just trying to survive out there, man!

MY ride stats for Friday. If you're wondering why we've instituted a "foot down" rule at the top of a climb, check out my heart rate at the top of Ash. Had to be home early hence the detour at the top of King George.

Medium Leg Warmers

These are new from the last order, resplendent argyle pattern, fleece lined. They are four inches longer than my other mediums, so probably size large that were mislabled as medium. Never worn. $29.

We are going to look into staying up at Whistler on the Saturday night--Triple Shot night out?? So I may send the family ahead for a day at Whistler while we drag out proverbial butts up the highway. And Geff--I am kind and tolerant, so get your ass in gear and sign up! We talked about the potentia...

Re: GranFondo

No. I thought that we could try to sort out our own plan if there are enough of us. It would be nice to have a support car that could carry some food to the half way point, for example. I know a hotel where we can stay in Vancouver.

You have to wear your new winter hat to the front counter.
Kidding.

When you call to make a booking (the number is in Pete's post) just tell them you want the TripleShot rate. That's all. Tell your friends.

TripleShot Mountain Bike Team

I ride a mountain bike and I know a few others do as well. My wife and I meet at Hartland at 2:00 on Fridays for a "meeting" on our bikes. The pace is usually pretty high and there are normally four, five, six of us as well as a dog or two. If you're interested in working on those cyclocross bike ha...

Re: Club Executive for 2010

Peter, thanks to you, the executive and all the members for establishing such a terrific club. As someone new to road riding it has been a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that is difficult to find anywhere, let alone in cycling. I look forward to sporting the clown outfit and the witty repartee thro...

I agree - it sounds too good to be true, especially since it's manufactured in China. But at that price you can buy a few of them.

Re: Cyclocross Season Wrap Up: Shawnigan Lake School

Well that was fun! As opposed to two weeks ago, I actually got to experience the cyclo in cyclocross this weekend. When you can actually ride your bike, it’s pretty good! I finished around 25th in my first ever race in the mud two weeks ago, 13 minutes and change behind the winner. My goal was to re...
