Christmas Party - How Can I Help?

Post by wonger » Fri Oct 12, 2012 9:32 am

The Tripeshot Christmas Party will be on Friday, December 14th at Goward House on Arbutus. If you haven't attended before, it may be the best pot luck meal you have ever had - nothing like healthy people cooking!

We need some help to put the whole thing together, so below is a list of tasks that you could consider helping out with. Please copy the list and add your name where appropriate.

Set-Up
(4:00 - 6:00)
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Clean Up
(11:00 - 12:00)
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Slide Show
(collect/compile images from members and others, set to music, make us look heroic. Includes sourcing projector and laptop)
1.
2.

Pot Luck
(set up, get supplies, ensure food is brought and is delicious!)
1.
2.

AGM
(run business portion of meeting, record minutes)
1. Peter Lawless
2.

Tickets
(design, produce, sell and turn money over to TS treasurer)
1.
2.

Bar Stuff
(we are planning on hiring a bartender, so this would include picking up supplies, helping with set up and clean up)
1.
2.

Music
(provide a playlist for the evening that doesn't suck, and something to play it on)
1.
2.

There may be a few other things to follow. Thanks All!

As of last July we had 125 paid-up members. To date, we seem to have about 12 people willing to volunteer (the same people who volunteer for everything) to help with the Xmas Party. A $20 annual membership fee only goes so far.

Do your bit...step up.
