55+ BC Games - Cranbrook/Kimberly - Sept. 11-15

Post by jbarrett » Mon Jun 04, 2018 10:00 am

See the e-mail from the South Island co-ordinator, Stuart Roach, below....

There are three cycling events: ITT, RR and HC with road closures, police on-hand and official paid marshall/traffic controllers. All three events for $40.

It will be an interesting experience this year in the Rockies. Cranbrook is Brian Marsh's home town, so there must be something in the water or the local climbing that helps fitness.

Stuart's e-mail has links to maps of the courses and lots of other details .... Stuart has written again to say the deadline to register is "early July"

I'm pretty sure I'll go. I'll drive up and have got room for one other.

Joe

Greeting everyone. My name is Stuart Roche and I am taking over from Mike Fibiger-Crossman as the cycling and mountain bike coordinator for the BC 55+ Games. This year the 55+ Games are being held September 11th to 15th and are being hosted by Kimberley and Cranbrook.

Competitor registration has now opened so I thought I'd give you all a reminder in case you are interested in competing again this year. If you are, the following is are links to the 55+ Games website that you may wish to check out:

Sorry, I got the registration fee wrong. It's $70, according to Stuart Roach's e-mail.
